Key Fob
An H3 can only read 4 sensors and it does NOT recognize position...... end of story. So the only TPMS that need to be programmed are the 4 on the ground.
Example: if you program sensor 1, 2, 3, 4 and then 5, #1 gets bumped out of the monitoring loop. Assume 1-4 are the tires on the ground. #5 is not sending a signal since it (spare) is not rotating. = TPMS warning light.

Doc Olds, The 4 in tires were programed when installed. One of the new one's was bad. So the tire dealer put in a new one and gave me a spare. The spare was programed and never installed in a tire., Just put in in console. So I have 4 on the ground, nothing in the spare tire. The odd one in console. Just to keep from getting lost. I did remove it from console and left in house when I had key fob installed. And still have the light on. And that's why I give up.

TPMS PIPE BOMB:
Thanks for the link to sensors. So I have 5 crappy sensors. 4 in the tires. 1 in console. However, I keep hearing I have a computer problem. I'm going to order the TPMS sensors. Taken a break on this for a little while. Polished H3 today. It really is a nice vehicle...
If it's not the ECM then what ? I do not have the expertise or the equipment to look at it. So the light stays on. It will take about $100.00 plus the TPMS price to get the new ones installed. Like I said before, Dealer wants $300.00 to start. Not going there ever. What to do?
