Take apart the exhaust and look at it or get a scanner that can read the O2s and select catalytic efficiency. If you do not have a P0420, stick with the program and avoid chasing tangents.

Ok. Just heard good and bad things about seafoam. Guess I’ll give it a go and see what happens! Will keep everyone updated

Possible causes for a P0118:
- Low engine coolant level
- Faulty Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor
- Faulty engine coolant thermostat
- Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor harness is open or shorted
- Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor electrical circuit poor connection

Use the above for a check list, do the easy stuff first.

Check coolant level, check the wiring to the ECT, clean the connector to the ECT with CRC Electronics Cleaner.

From your answers before, I do not see anything you have shared that indicates the T Stat is bad, so after the above and no improvement, I would suspect the ETC may be bad.

Add 1 to that list>>-USER ERROR:

Went to do the above and wouldn’t start. Acted like alternator so I removed it and had it tested and it passed. Idle pulley mount was broke in half (which I’m guessing caused the no charge) trying to find a replacement. Will keep updated

When you inject too much fluid without proper rpm to burn off you Hydrolocked the engine. Get a socket and a long breaker bar and rotate the crankshaft pulley to release.

Got everything back together. Fired it up.. I heard the timing chain slapping. Looks like I’ll be doing that again.

Ran seafoam through it. Seems to do a bit better (starts right up now) but still says misfire on cylinder 5 (check engine light flashes then stays solid). Also shakes when starting off (going down the road)
only one code shows up.. P0305

Check the coil pack for #5 (all the way to the rear) by swapping any other one to its spot and see if the misfire follows what was the #5 coil pack. Inspect the wiring harness and connector to #5, clean with CRC Electronics Cleaner. If the misfire follows the new location of #5, get a new coil pack to replace it

Already did that. Still a misfire on cylinder 5. I’m guessing it’s a valve? Just seems strange that it doesn’t do it when the coolant temp sensor is unplugged
