Hummer h3 cold start problem
As you know there are a lot of things that can cause a crank and no start. You have already looked at some of those. CPS will certainly be one that would be on my list of things to check and or replace. They are less than $20 as a starting price.
we change the crank position sensor few months ago we have a record of what we replaced. So you think we should replace it again?
Both my H3's have the done the same during cold days. I've never found a solution. I've replace water pumps and sensor and nothing works yet. The only thing that helps the car start. Is when I turn the engine on, I put my foot of accelerator pedal keeping the rpm above 1 and under 2 for about 30 sec to 1 min. My theory is that since the engine and most of the car are made out of metal. During cold days and nights, the metal tends to freeze in place causing the engine to struggle to turn on. Hope this helps, I'll update if I find a solution
