Low speed = 4 to 13 amps, Hi speed = 15 to 35 amps. Depending upon temperature demand. When it does ramp up, it will cool the truck enough to shut off for many minutes before starting another cycle. The Digital Controller is programmed for the V8 cooling curve, so it does not just turn on/off. Instead it starts slow and ramps up as needed to cool to whatever I have it set to. It’s very surprising that you don’t use Ohm’s law and the power calculation formula. My control unit allows me to set any temperature for starting and any temperature for maximum speed. In this range, the fan spins up gradually. But it is correct to measure performance not in amperes or watts, but in CFM)

Could I use the power calculation formula?.... Yes. Just not important enough to bother with.
