Lifting or raising the H3 = you never can get a DIRECT RESPONSE. I understand the turning the torsion bolts in the front to raise it from the stocked forward rake by the factory. Yes, this saves money I guess. But what if a guy wants a true 4 inch lift? The Rancho 4 inch lift is the only way to go. I'm still torn on what to do. I kinda like the forward rake of the H3, and I also want to be higher.

I am still undecided.

How much more direct can we be?
"leveling kits" = waste of money.
4" lift = Rancho (your only choice)
4" lift and rake = Rancho & custom work (like a spring over in the rear &/or custom springs)

Bunger:

Me = 2008 Alpha H3 - Stock.

Want to add 35 tires, black Rockstar wheels vs Torsion lift only or buy Rancho 4 inch Kit?

Pleas advise / Thanks

I'm obviously not Bunger, but if I were you I would first turn the torsion keys to level out the front. This doesn't really cost you anything to do, and you can easily turn them back if you don't like it. Do this first and see if you like it with your rockstars and 35's. If not... then go ahead and get the Rancho kit...

You could also do the torsion adjustment in front and then add 2" longer shackles in back to gain some of the rake back.
In reality 2" longer shackles at the rear of the leaf spring translates into only about 1" at the axle. But it's at least some rake, if that's what you want.

Me = 35" Duratrac's, Torsion bar adjustment, Samco 2" longer shackles in back & Daystar 1" body lift.

Krap, not his guy again with his lift kit questions. Since Sept of 2012 Every question he asks he keeps asking and asking . Sometimes 3 or 4 times! Take a look at his posting history.of his 112 posts 75%+ are on this exact subject. Everyone from Jesus to drtom has told him the exact same thing. Honestly Ray, time to SHlT or get off the pot.

But i would like to explain my situation to you guys first i bought my h3 with these brand new dick cepek tires but they are 33s so i rather ware these tires out first then buy the 35s but i wanted to know what you guys think about a 4inch lift with 33s just till my tires need to be changed and i know this is a bad last question but you guys have alot more experience then me and i want your opinion on what i should do with my truck i am looking for a lift that will not make the ride that much different but i do not go offroading much maybe 6 times a year but i do live in NY so we get 2ft of snow sometimes so i drive alot in that but besides the winter i am on the road and by in the winter i take it in the snow for fun 3 or 4 times so what would you guys recommend I get for a lift all i am really looking for is that lifted truck look but can go mildly off road occasionally and not change the ride to much thank you guys very much for taking the time to read this long post looking forward to your answers.
The ride will not be harder ride. It rides better. 33" tires do look a little silly with a 4" lift. Go 35" or if you have a Alpha go 37". Go big or go home. :-)
