Default H3 alpha LIfting questions

Hi guys I have a few question for you I am debating lifting my h3 alpha with a 4inch lift kit but i was wondering how much harder will the ride become. My other question are how does an h3 with a 4inch lift and 33s look and by that i mean does it look weird without 35s on it. But i would like to explain my situation to you guys first i bought my h3 with these brand new dick cepek tires but they are 33s so i rather ware these tires out first then buy the 35s but i wanted to know what you guys think about a 4inch lift with 33s just till my tires need to be changed and i know this is a bad last question but you guys have alot more experience then me and i want your opinion on what i should do with my truck i am looking for a lift that will not make the ride that much different but i do not go offroading much maybe 6 times a year but i do live in NY so we get 2ft of snow sometimes so i drive alot in that but besides the winter i am on the road and by in the winter i take it in the snow for fun 3 or 4 times so what would you guys recommend I get for a lift all i am really looking for is that lifted truck look but can go mildly off road occasionally and not change the ride to much thank you guys very much for taking the time to read this long post looking forward to your answers.

Rancho I believe is the only one that makes kits for us still. To your door it'll be almost $3,000. Keep an eye on craigslist, found mine for $500. The ride is still the same but I added a new steering bracket kit so I still take my turns to fast. I never wanted a lift kit but for the price I couldn't say no so in the end your money do what you want. If you want to keep your OEM wheels your going to need 1.75" spaces to clear 35's, I just order a set of 1.5" because I don't have a need for 35's.

What do you think you need the lift for??? 3s wheel very well just as they are, so long as you have good tires.

How about you go wheel it 2-3 of your 6 times per year and then see what you think before blowing coin of the realm?

Very true statement.

Here is mine I just installed 2 weeks ago, it has the rancho 9000's on it and its a little higher up front I am currently looking for either 1 or 1.25 shackles to level it out again as I cranked the t bars a little higher than the kit called for, it has 305 km2's on it.

just an opinion i would go with a leveling kit, You can gain a easy 2 inches upfront and back and have minimal expense. 100 or so for kit and say 200-250 with new shocks and still maintain factory ride. Just something to consider and if you want you will still have room for larger tires down the road. Plus with the lift there is increased wear on suspension to take into consideration.

DO NOT EVER BUY A "LEVELING KIT". The stock keys can be adjusted to do the exact same thing ZERO $.

X2, don't waste you hard earned $ on a leveling kit. Spend the $ you saved on an alignment after you adjust the stock torsion bolts.

There are 100s of threads on this exact subject here on HUMMER Forums.

"Leveling Kit", No matter how many times we've said it both here and on all the other Hummer forums it still comes up. The number 1 waste of money followed closely by "chips".

I blame it all on social media.
You should see the misinformation spread on the various "Hummer" pages on Facebook.
