This corrects the CV angle ,A failure that Will occur. reports after reports. Some say it will damage the rear rubber mount which has failed in stock form anyways,If you run in extreme off road conditions then who knows. Suit yourself I really dont care to spend any more time discussing a spacer kit that corrects a problem. You've beat this to death. i,m done on this thread.

Hey I've been out the loop on this one fair too long. Look byeatts your going to catch nothing but heat about this because some members have owned a hummer forever in a half and think they know everything possible. **** could have been ****ed up in the past and now works better, quit giving him **** and sit back and watch what happen. Look there was just way to much BS going on and everybody and their mother knocking on byeatts with his plan of action. People are going to do what they want with their hard earn money and say over and over again it's a waste of money it's pointless. Put in you .02 cents and when the person shots down your input say "read you lima charlie" and watch what happens or don't click on the thread anymore.

Some people need to fail first hand rather then listen to others and some just pull some crazy stuff and make some stuff work that shouldn't. Most of all I hate some members that swear by one maker of a part and everything out there is trash. That's what gets to me the most and bragging about what you do for a living.

We are all here to share our ideas, plans and goals on the HUMMER line so lets not fight and turn away future by acting like know it all dick's like some members and work together.

 

Its interesting that some of you base your opinions on something that someone on another forum said to someone else. And thats the end all decision that it will not work, In fact many were telling me it wont even bolt in and cant possibly fit. It wasnt till I said it not only bolts in perfectly but works flawlessly that they then took the approach that it will destroy the mounts..There are closed minded few who can simply choose to replace CV joints. all angles look good including the rear mount.

 

A good exercise to illustrate how the angles are manipulated at either end is take to a 2 foot long stick or broom handle ect. put one end on a flat table and drop the other end down 0ne inch. look how little movement there is at the table end. almost none at that point.you would need a micrometer to measure the angle difference. The mounts tear from abuse most likely rock crawling/heavy 4x4 where extreme stresses are applied.

 

! you are stepping back into it!. the diff is not 2 feet, it is ? about 8 inches from mount to mount? so the angle would be more. if you tilt your cereal box up 1 inch,,,still I don't think the twist on the rubber is a major factor. what exactly is it that breaks?
im not arguing this 1 way or another. just the accuracy.

your 2 foot angle would argue against making the mod! not enuf to make a "diff". oops, difference!
