Default Battery Drain

My mom has a 2007 Hummer H3 and something is draining the battery and I suspect it may be the ignition but I'm not 100% sure. Most mornings the battery is dead and I have to jump it so it'll start. Once it's started it runs fine all day. Sometimes when getting out of the car it'll ding like the key is still in the ignition when it's not. Putting the key back in and jiggling it will get it to stop dinging. One night when I came home I heard music playing and it was coming from my moms car. The car was off but the radio was on. I went inside, grabbed the key and started the car (it barely started BTW). After it had been running for a while I shut it off and after a few seconds the radio went out. My mom says she makes sure the car isn't dinging when she gets out but I'm not 100% sure she is. My step father also drives the car and he claims the same thing. Now the radio is no longer working. The radio may be bad or it may just be a blown fuse but I haven't had time to check it. I can do some repairs (like a belt and water pump) but I think an ignition is out of my league. Also, the engine light is on and the dash also says service stab system. I took it up to an auto parts store and they ran the codes but nothing showed up. Any idea how I can track down the problem and if it is the ignition what would it take to fix it and how much should I expect to pay?

Welcome to HF.

The first mod to be done to every H3/H3T is to REPLACE the crappy OEM Battery Terminal Connectors with a quality aftermarket set like Stingers or your favorite brand.

Changing the ignition switch module is about a 2 in difficulty on a 1-10 scale, might want to look into that further.
