Default Update

Hey guys so I took off the encoder and it moves a little when I press the button but even with ur being disconnected when I press the button it doesn’t say and it give me the same error … is it possible that it’s bad and not sending good signals?! Anyway I cleaned it and put it back and now my car won’t go on 4 drive ! I tried to turn off and start the car and still none of the 4 wheel drive buttons are on! I press on any of them and now it just doesn’t stick on any of them
and give me the same code. Can I drive the car with it not selecting any of the 4 wheel drive buttons? And what you think the problem might be ??

Before it was when I restart the car it automatically selected on regular 4wheeldrive drive , now it doesn’t select anything and won’t let me select anything with the encoder being disconnected from the transfer case and with it being connected to the transfer case

Well. ….. put it in drive and see if it goes. If not then you can’t drive it 🤷🏼‍♂️ I think you are dealing with a faulty encoder.

I have a lot of great equipment! How do I get my equipment to transfer through the WWW, to properly diagnose?

maybe learn to use and or at least know what it’s telling you before you lead someone off on a parts swapping mission for nothing. Done with you now. Obviously a shade tree mechanic troll.

Did you take the selector switch apart and clean, as I previously advised?

f'off! I never advised the op(nor anyone else) to throw parts at it! Clean & test!
BTW, YOU ADVISED THE OP TO THROW A YAW SENSOR AT IT!

Great, now you narrowed it down to the encoder motor, which I previously suspected. Take it apart and clean it, make sure connectors/contacts are clean, and recheck. If you can't get it to come back to life, time to replace. GL
