I called it the acuator, it's the exhaust acuator that the reluctor wheel is attached to. But the reluctor wheel is the problem! I was going buy the acuator new, with the reluctor wheel on it already..

That's not a RELUCTOR! It's a SPROCKET.

to begin with, I was saying the acuator is different on 07engine, than the 09engine. Someone put pictures of reluctor wheels on here, so I assume the sprockets on the acuator were called reluctor wheel. I would have called the reluctor wheel a sprockets. both of us was reading on different pages, you thinking crankshaft, and I was talking camshaft. The bottom line is, you can't put a 07 camshaft actuator in a 09 engine, and get the 09 to run right. But the camshaft are same in both engines, so if I put 09 camshaft acuator in the 07 engine, I can get my 09 hummer running right. Or get my 09 tuned. I hope I explained myself right this time. I'm not a expert on these engines, that's why I'm on here asking for help. And I apologize to everyone for my rudeness.

The actuator solenoid (VVT)is the same on all LLR's. The difference from '07 & '09 is the CMP & CKP.

if the acuators are all the same,, how come 06 has different part # than 07, 07 has different parts # than 08, but 08 thro 10 have the same part #. If all acuator where the same,, I wouldn't be have the problems I having now..

I will try to ignore your political view. An elephant, being conservative, would swap the sensors from the original engine to the donor.
