The 2007 is definitely a 24x I have a 2006 3.5L 24x in our 2007 that blew the 3.7L 24x. plug and play no issues.

The '06 uses the same CKP as '07.

I took the 09 engine out, rebuilt the 07 engine, then put the 07 engine in my 09 humer all by myself. So want to go the easiest route there is. Thanks for your help.

The 09 uses a TCM and PCM, the 07s only use a different PCM that also controls the Transmission, so a PCM swap is not going to work. You need programming. Find a local shop that does tuning and take it there.

the tuning shop might have to replace the engine harness with a compatible stand alone harness and ECU.

Default Tech 2 scan tool

I found a tech 2 scan tool for gm cars on Amazon, it's $349. Will this scan do what I need. I have been chevy dealer, they can't help me with the programming. And I went to 2 individual shops, they told me the pcm's are locked, and they couldn't reprogram the pcm's.

if it is the issue of the reluctor wheels not having the same count a tech 2 will not help. it is meant for diagnostics and flashing OEM programming... you might need custom programming and a custom harness to fix your situation. with the correct ECU for your engine

Now you know to avoid those two shops because the PCMs are NOT "locked". I think you need some custom tuning, like with HP Tuners from a local shop that does performance tunes. That is what I meant by programming = tuned. You know, the guys that ride in the passenger seat with their laptop plugged in and tune based upon what they are seeing, observing and feeling.

Hi Doc Olds, sorry to keep bothering everyone, but I don't know apple from oranges on the pcm's. I have went to chevy dealer for programming, chevy couldn't reprogram what I needed, I have contacted several places online, and several place around area for reprograming, It sounds like eveyone thinks my pcm can't be reprogramed. Could you give some info on what I can do, please! I'm just about to the point in changing the acuator. I'm in a community that's nothing but cows, and trees. The closest place to work on pcm's is 3 hrs away, if I found anyone to do what I need.

What "actuator" are you referring to?
