warning bongs?
so I just posted recently about my issue with blower motor running with key off. anyway while I had abs/traction control
lights on I noticed after truck started i would get 8 dings, is there some type of diagnostic built in? what did it mean? as soon as i fixed issue (bad abs wheel sensor) now its back to normal, no dings.
Just curious thanks

My guess is it was a warning ding in addition to the visual ABS light you were looking at. It would make sense to get your attention for a brake problem.
Something worth mentioning regarding all of today's new vehicles with the interconnected computer systems.... It's a good idea to turn the key to the on position and wait three or four seconds before hitting the starter. Gives time for the systems to do their self check and whatnot. Some of the class 8 over the road trucks such as Kenworth actually require this to avoid erroneous errors. Most won't even engage a starter until the system check is done. There is a lot of communication going on as soon as you turn it to the on position.
