Last weekend when I got in my 2007 H3 all of the abs and traction control lights were on. I ran the codes and came across a few. U1041, U1000, and B7090. It seems as though communication with the ABS module could be messed up. Shop wanted like $1200 to replace the abs module. The odd thing is, the car will still let me drive like normal. The only issue is that the AC will not work. Another weird thing is that the abs lights completely went off while driving the other day. Everything was operating like normal. The next time I got back in it, the lights were back. Has anyone ran into an intermittent abs issue like this?

 

What are the REAL codes?

 

Do you have a scanner capable of reading the ABS module? If not either buy one, borrow one, or go to a chain auto parts to see if the module will communicate.

Everybody with older cars should have a good scanner if they plan on doing any work themselves.
