Lightbulb Rear Entertainment Removal

Hi all, I have a 2005 Hummer H2 and have already removed the OnStar (replaced with pocket). Since the rear entertainment system is outdated and not really needed, I also removed the DVD from the center cubby for more space. While doing this, I noticed that my rear speakers stopped working. Found out that the rear speakers are powered by the Floor Console Radio Controller switch, the connector popped off when replacing. Easy fix!
Since I no longer use the rear radio (never did), I want to replace it with a pocket. The problem is, I need to jump the wires in the connector to the rear radio so I will get power to the rear speakers.
Here is my plan; all advice is welcomed.
1) I plan to connect all of the power wires together and also connect all of the grounds together. (Do you see problems with this?)
2) I will leave the Data Line disconnect.
3) Here is a question. The unit also has a shield and drain wire. Since I will be removing the unit do I need to connect these wires or can I just leave them disconnected?
Below are the schematics. At the bottom of the photo is the rear unit and my plans.
Thank you in advance for all of the help.

do not connect B+ from A2 to your audio + signal wires.
all you have to to is jump LR audio positive B6 to LR audio positive B8. and RR positive B9 to RR positive B10. same goes for the audio grounds A7 to A9 and A8 to A10.
the wires are color coded so jump the above 4 wires to there corosponding color individually. green to green, dark blue to dark blue, tan to tan, ect...

Thank you. According to your post, I do not need the power from the rear radio. This makes it much easier.
I just need to re-attach the wirers from the front radio (at the rear radio connector pins) to the rear speakers - basically removing the break in the wires.

Here's what it looks like if you're curious at the rear pocket. I disconnected everything from the rear radio and just left them all unplugged and it didn't affect anything, but I am using an aftermarket Kenwood head unit. My DVD headrest screens I think are also aftermarket, I have them both just duplicate what's playing on the head unit instead of playing from a separate DVD player (I removed it and got rid of it).

Exactly what I want.

On the stock radio set up, the rear speakers run through the rear radio controller/switch. I found out when I removed the DVD from center consol and accidently popped off the connector to the radio when putting everything back together.

All done worked perfectly, thank you for the wiring correction! Note, I bought the GM part not for Hummer, so it doesn't fit properly. I have the correct part on the way.

I originally bought the Silverado/Escalade/Tahoe 2003-2007 Rear Pocket it was too deep.
Then I bought the supposed Hummer H2 Pocked, it was also off in dimensions, just a little, but enough to make it not sit correctly.
I thought about keeping it and trimming it to fit, but its color is off, and it absolutely has no functional ability at all.
I'm keeping the nonspecific GMC pocket as it can actually hold objects and the color matches. I'll just have to get creative and make two plastic blanks to cover its sides.
Unless someone knows of a better fitting pocket.

Your pocket fits real nice and even looks to have a lower lip. The one I found for the H2 does quite fit correctly, so I am going to use the GMC pocket - it doesn't fit either but matched in color and has functionality due to its slant.
