Yes sir, part of the plan. It had been draining really well so it should be OK, but intention was to use the wife's dryer lint brush prior to, during foaming and again after during rinsing. Will keep an eye on drain during process.

Maybe. I'll know this week. It's back in for warranty compressor replacement. Not too confident. I know it isn't the EVAP. Opened the box this week and it is clearly clean. If they thought it was bad they could have isolated it and ensured it was clear and leak free before refilling the system a second time. Just because it was the only component they didn't replace doesn't mean it was bad. And if it had a leak the system wouldn't have passed a vacuum test prior to putting freon back in.

It did. Nice & clean and used the exhaust from my shop vacuum to blow through the coils and had great air out the vents.

Default Final Update - it Works!

So, shop found the compressor they installed was defective and replaced it under warranty. BUT - also found that the Dorman HVAC controll unit I had purchased and installed was not fully programming correctly and was preventing the blend actuator from closing off the heat side fully, so once they had more cold air, there was also some heat being mixed! Installed another new Dorman Control Unit (bought locally not from Amazon) and now things are back to normal - 45 degree air out the vents! Yea!

I have had very poor performance with HVAC modules rebuilt by Dorman,

Hope it all works out for you and you have better luck with the module than me,

All around programming and actuator door calibration,

Neal

So far so good. Time will tell. That means the original, one from ebay (used) that may or may not have been a Dorman but would not program at the shop with the GM Tech system Puter, another 2 Dormans from Amazon and finally a Dorman from one of the Aito supply shops. I'd agree the Dorman units seem to have an issue. Hard to find a GOOD OEM NEW unit.
