Hey Neal,

I remember reading that some time back, it was fun revisiting it and I again was amazed on the job you did! It will be good reading for 812sf!

Not to hijack the thread but quick question, Neal, after you were done did you ever have the common L92 cold piston slap issue they almost all seem to be plagged with?

It really doesn't get very cold down here for any length of time per say but on a cold morning there is a very slight hint of it at first start. I did keep the anti piston slap setting in the tune stock as it was when I tuned it.

Thanks everyone. I see the link is up and I'll read it over tonight. In finding a heavy duty transmission shop to supply a 4L65e, I talked to a shop somewhat near me called Gearstar. Very good reviews and he spent a lot of time with me. He said he really recommends a Level 2 4L80e because it will take just about anything give it. I'm considering building a 427 LSX based torque monster instead of the 408. Something that still uses the stock exhaust and not an aggressive cam. Nothing is set in stone and I'll still ask questions like I'll probably have to add cooling capacity with a 427 cid engine.

Thanks again - Jason
