Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

Driving H2 into remote places ( spare parts lost )

2003 model, 116,000 miles now.

Off-road, I don't think you'd want these tailpipes though....

Oh we are in love with our H2
the ride quality is unmatched to any 4x4 I have driven including high end Range Rover.

i agree that this vehicle was put together with off road in mind, even by looking at the frame it’s clear it was made for rugged terrain.

interior is absolutely garbage quality, but if you compare this interior to H1 interior, this is 200% better quality lol can you imagine how bad H1 interior quality is.
but again those vehicles are made to get you there and back, interior quality is not that relevant.

Yeah, some 25 years ago I was driving one around as part of KFOR. I don't think comfort was even a consideration, LOL.

About the only thing the H2 needs is a large sunroof over the back seat, to access that optional 50 caliber on the roof.... But I doubt the nhtsa would approve the design!

Here it is, I fixed the shifter cable bushing issue,
military cotter pin style,

I cut a bolt exact diameter of the shifter cable bushing
I drilled small hole for the cotter pin
then I ground off the end piece of the lever end where it was supposed to clip on to the bushing,
I welded the bolt to the lever,
then I cut the bolt to size needed

and here is the result.

You know, if you were former Air Force, those transmission pan bolts would be safety wired

Aluminum radiator

Dont look back

Mine has survived being purged with muratic acid and bulk liquid oven cleaner after heads puked soot and garbage into cooling system

Kids on Facebook say they get leaky chinesium but maybe theyre also paid shills from mishimoto who knows...

I can look up the specific brand/factory/province or whatever mine came from if yall want

Plastic cooling parts are imbecilic

You can source metal parts for the slow-connects and hose splitters as well instead of branched hoses and brittle plastic...

China has simple red aluminum fittings with clips

Dorman makes the threeway for rear climate from stainless but its still a sharkbite quick connect so now when the tool wont work you junk the heater core lol

There are some VAG oem bits that appear to be the correct dimensions but Ive yet to try them...

Im doing silicone hoses and an aluminum purge tank eventually as I go...

Noice

I think I paid under 200 for mine during the plandemic

Its holding up but I know flushing muriatic through it didnt help the inside fins so some day I expect to get a shiny one again lol

Mines over 5yo tho obviously and survived a bad water pump, limping a head gasket almost a year, overheating it enough to damage the block etc

Chinese radiators get a thumbs up from me lol
