Pretty sure you want one lower and one upper for each axel. The clip hangs in the bottom or top of each caliper. I did my front brakes recently similar to yours. Went with ebc slotted and drilled and then hawk performance brakes. I didn't replace the clips they were in fine condition.

I meant for each caliper not each axel.

Thanks everyone, the two ACD ones at the bottom of my earlier list match the GM Parts Online P/No so I went with those.

Someone also suggested giving the calipers a good surface clean and painting with two-part caliper paint (
)

Looks like a good idea - any thoughts or experiences?

I don't recommend brake cleaner, alcohol, nor paint used on any rubber parts (piston&slide boots,+brake hose)
Plastics and rubbers are made of polymers that are susceptible to attack by reactive chemicals. When reactive molecules attach themselves to the polymer it attacks the polymers therefore degrading the material.
Rebuild shops do it the proper way, take it apart, before painting.

you can always just tape off that area of rubbers you do not want to paint... the last caliper paint i used had a paint swab on the cap that you used to swab the paint on. so a bit more of a controlled application then with spray paint.
