2009 H2 6 Speed Tranny Filter Change
Thanks Guys.... Here's the latest. Found the pan part number for my H2 09. which is # 24222657. It was also listed on Ebay as AC Delco with gasket and 2 new round magnets. Ordered it in. The label on the box says AC Delco and in small print under the GM Delco Label it says..... "Made In China" The gasket was a piece of flat gasket material. WRONG..!!The two magnets had written on it by paint marker done by hand and it said..." Made In China"... Turns out it's the wrong pan and short a few bolt holes and is a Square pan with a relief cut out for the x over exhaust pipe.
Long story short, Pan is being returned. Found the correct pan on Summit for $18.99 GM AC DELCO "24222657". I already have the correct ridged type gasket. The tech helped me match it thru the VIN code and the Engine Code #2 in the VIN. So this is the correct one for the 6L80. Have a New drain plug which will be welded in next week,
Also ... legerwn.... Neal, mentioned the 3/4" pipe thread thang to remove the seal. Got me a Set Up for that and will have my guy try that out. Thanks Neal. Also as stated in the other posts will have that good old chisel standing by and the old sharp punch as that what my Meck-An-Ic uses on the ones he's done before.
I would like to thank all who posted with Video's and info on this topic. It is important to have you guys here and to offer up your experiences and to share your tech abilities. A Big Thank You....
Thanks : Mark R.... H2 till I'm dead.
