Default 315/75r16 vs 295/75r16

So new to the hummer world. Just picked up an 07 lux and the 265’s are in need of replacement. I know most jump up to the 315’s and they look amazing. My problem is with the I5. I plan to get a tune in the near future but for now I need to decide on tires. Due to not feeling over confident in the 4l60e I’m reluctant to run 295/75’s. These are around 1” shorter and 3/4” narrower. Would I really save that much in power/gas and trans life to justify the 295’s or should I just jump on the 315’s? Either way I’m doing a t bar crank and bilsteins all around.

I went with the 295's....Did the job for me. Went with the KYB's for a Firm ride and less lean.
