Default H3 or H3T Trailer Towing

2009 H3T Alpha, 147K on the clock.

I'v got some 7 properties about 150 miles for home that need my attention and will have to live on site while works gets completed. It not something I can come check once or twice a month, so I will need a travel trailer. I don't micro manage professionals, but I will fire them faster than Trump would....

The owners manual is telling me to keep under 11,000 lbs GCWR, am shooting for a travel trailer around the the 5,000 lbs range with electric brakes. But I worry about the H3T's wheel base being a limiting factor on the length of trailer. Somebody talk to me about trailer sway bars and or load distribution trailer bars. Here's ya another one. What did you do about rear suspension if anything as far and keeping it at a correct height? Yes I will keep with in the 10 percent tong limit. Did ya go with air bag, helper spring, air shocks etc.....?

Anyways here are the build codes regarding towing
RPO Code Explanation/Description
UY7 WIRING HARNESS TRUCK TRAILER, HD
VR4 TRAILER HITCH WEIGHT DISTRIBUTING PLATFORM
Z82 TRAILER PROVISIONS SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, H.D.

I do not see a code for a trans cooler if there is one, unless "Z68" includes it. Do we have anyone that can tell me more about that "Z68 code? I did see a secondary cooler low and behind the radiator. I'll guess for now that it's a trans cooler. I'll check tonight to see where the lines go (to and from). If that's not one it then I will add one.

The owners manual is telling me that the trailer brake control wiring harness is located under the instrument panel to the right of the steering column. Easy enough on that. So for those that have a controller hooked up where did you install it?

Best travel trailer made..... it's called "hotel room". You never have to haul it, insure it, clean it, store it, never gets a flat tire and you only pay for what you actually use.

Trans cooler is in the radiator, lines at bottom rear.

I heard that Doc.

But once I’m done with the trailer on this project, it’s heading down to the coast at a little fishing village. I love my redfish, flounder and trout. R&R time, line in the water, a double shot of Bacardi and a coke on the side.

Here’s a pic of what I think is the additional trans cooler. Can anyone confirm what it is?

What you have circled above is the power steering cooler.
No "extra" trans cooler with the tow package.
You will have to install an in line plate style cooler in front of the radiator or remote mount a totally separate cooler+fan.
