Hello Hummer lovers, it's been a while. My H2 has been good to me 170miles on it . This week I noticed on start ups or after around 8hrs parked, I see big about 3 sec. white smoke from exhaust and strong fume. I welcome your feedback.

 

Head gasket maybe? I'm new to chevys we got our '08 H2 5 months ago. I'm crossing my fingers I get 150k out of it. Then I'm putting in an LSA

 

Hopefully something "easy" like valve guide seals, or a little worse valve guides.

That puff usually means that oil is leaking by at least the seals when the engine is off, and it burnt off when you fire it up.

Coolant, and oil both look normal?
If it's a head gasket you should have a milkshake in one or both unfortunately.

 

Aside from the normal maintenance stuff you should be able to make it.

Bah LSA..?, how about a duramax!!
