Default 2006 BCM replace now 120,000 miles

had 60,000 but BCM I bought used had 120,000 on it so thats what my odometer reads now, it fixed my stab sys warning lights but dealer says cant change mileage on odometer , is that right? might have to buy a new not used unit

So a new one would put your displayed mileage back at zero? Hmm, interesting; I would have thought that the dealer would be able to reprogram it.

Ya but it is a bad one, I think, time will tell, I bought main computer, new gas pedal and transfer case motor actuator, still got stab sys warning and limp mode at times, I'll see if this helps, if so ill get a new one, or send bcm and speedo to guy can set it for 90 dollars

Ya odo-pro.com looks like a place if you send speedo cluster and bcm they will set it for you 90 bucks, I'll go that way cheaper than 200 for bcm and 79 for hr labor, glad to find dealer that does it for hrs labor, Chevy 1 mile away wanted 1700 for bcm and reprogram

Ya they said if I buy new one they can set to correct, but somewhere else I read it will take higher mileage and keep that, so if I had put lower mile used unit it would remember my 61000 that was on speedo........I think lol
