Do dealers love/look for opportunities to do recall or warranty work on customers cars?

By denying them the opportunity to fix something under recall, (such as something silly, like a 90 minute job to glue back a plastic panel on my hood) am I cheating them out of some quick cash?

 

being gm u may be saving the taxpayers money,,,so fix your tranny too!

 

I like to take mine off from time too time and wax under it so mine will not be going back, fixed it my self pined it for easy removal.
