I really hope someone is available to help. So I ended up replacing the thermostat and the oxygen sensor and all codes gone. Drove up the hill then second and the choking came back with no codes. I tried going up a little faster on the second turn and got the engine light to blink, it disappeared after a few iterations. Scanned and got code P0303 P (again pending?). Now what confuses me the firing order is 1-3-5-4-2 starting from radiator? I swapped coil 4 with the one in the middle so would be coil 5. Are we certain they don't just go 1-2-3-4-5 instead? Or is this another coincidence that suddenly another coil is misfiring?

So I finally fixed the issue, ended up being a bad thermostat, bad oxygen sensor and a bad ignition coil.
It seems that my truck's firing order is 1-2-3-4-5 and not 1-3-5-4-2 like some guys here and other internet sites suggested.
Originally had the P0304 code, going with the suggested order I swapped coil #4 with #5 so the code should have gone to P0305, instead I got code P0303. So I swapped the suggested coil 3 with a new coil and was still getting P0303 code. I then swapped the suggested #5 (in reality coil #3) with the new coil and problems went away. Truck runs like a champ.

It would be great if it can help someone in the future, it was one nightmare working on the truck outside in this kind of weather temperatures were very low since Friday when I started to work on it and today the wind was so strong it actually pushed the hood onto my head a few times not to mention about half a dozen times it shut it closed when I was in the garage or picking up tools. I finally stuck an old burlap rug in there to keep it open. If it was summer I would have had a lot more fun doing this job.

You are getting the firing order and cylinder placement confused. If your standing in front of the truck the first cylinder is #1 and continues back 2,3,4,5. The firing order is the order that the computer fires each cylinder.

Glad to see you got it all fixed!

X2

OBD codes speak to which cylinder has the misfire, not where in the firing order it might be.

Yes I see that now after all this I am confused as to why even bother talking about firing order when you get a misfire code on the computer? It seems like anything I found online on these codes talks about firing order when it seems it has absolutely nothing to do with the actual order of cylinders or how they reference the computer codes :? If I understand it correctly you can get 301 302 303 304 or 305 codes on my car, and they simply reference cylinders 1-2-3-4-5 in that order starting from radiator side?
