Default Transmission shift/slipping issue

Getting code 0894-transmission slipping in my H3. Approximately 180,000 miles on the vehicle. At about 3,000 rpm, when the vehicle goes to shift, trans starts slipping. I can let off the gas and it then shifts to the next gear. I've been reading about the different solenoids that can be replaced. Can anyone tell me which solenoid might solve this issue.

yes, the shift solenoid for the particular shift that is slipping. Either 1/2, 2/3 or the other one. Let me find a picture.

I can't remember which is 1/2 and 2/3, but they are about $25 each so replace both when you drop the pan. Is it only slipping on shifts or under load? With that mileage I am worried about disk packs being worn out.

Thanks for the reply and the pic. It seems to be mainly on shift. It starts to shift and then revs up. Let off and it goes into gear. There is some slipping when gassing it, but that also seems to correspond to the down shift, going into passing gear. Ya, with the mileage, I'm almost just thinking it may need rebuilt. Hoping the solenoid do the trick though.

Fresh fluid usually helps too.

I would give the transmission fluid a sniff test too. If it has a burned smell you could have a "cooked" tranny. Mine died at about 180K. The symptom in my case was inability to shift into the top gear. Adding new fluid helped for about 15 minutes of driving.
