2004 Hummer H2 driving down the road while the vehicle is hot the temperature gage dramatically drops in the vehicle and feels like it just ran out of fuel. Temperatures go to normal in a couple of seconds and it runs like normal, any thoughts?

 

Sounde like an electrical short in the system. Go snoop around under the hood and see if theres any wires/harness touching matal that's been rubbing the wire installation away.

Have a mechanic run a diagnostic on it, they should be able to pin point the problem.

 

m.o.w. is right sounds like an electrical problem. Start with making sure the battery cables are clean and tight.
