Default Slipping Transmission.

The transmission on my 2003 H2 Hummer is slipping and is very slow to change especially from 1st to 2nd gear. I've checked the transmission fluid and it is OK. Any suggestions? Because I'm a senior citizen repair shops stick it to me with the repair cost and it helps if I have an idea what the repair will be when I go into the repair shop. Thanks.

a well rounded average for a complete rebuild / installed with labor should be around 17- 2000$ give or take. some shops may do it for ~1500. some may want to charge 2500~.

how many miles? is the fluid dark? does it smell burnt? when was the fluid last changed? sometimes changing the fluid can cure small issues

I can recommend a great transmission shop in So. Cal.

A plugged catalytic converter can cause delayed shifts.
