Default Rough Start

Hi, guys.
I'm experiencing 'odd engine rev' when it comes to start recently.
It happens about once a week, no matter the engine is cold or hot.
My battery and spark plugs are healthy though.
Can anybody figure out what it is?
Thanks, advence.

Search MAF Sensor and Throttle Body cleaning. A good place to start.

You could take off the air induction going into the throttle body open it manually and spray some carb cleaner in there. Good idea also to clean up the air intake tubing as well. I took a towel and pushed thru it with a broom stick. good luck

mine still has a rough time when cold--changed the wts and o2 sensors, plugs, wires, coil packs... i still get the intermittent "misfire" code pop up... but the cold starts thing really bugs me... try and drive it to soon it sputters and pops then is ok..even changed the gas cap thinking it would help- it had in other vehicles i have owned.

Look up some info here on cleaning the MAF and Throttle Body. Use MAF cleaner on the MAF and TB cleaner on the TB.

Highly unlikely your issue has anything to do with the MAF, more likely due to a dirty TB, but spraying off the MAF is easy and so long as you DO NOT touch the MAF it won't hurt to clean it.

Your PCM uses feedback from the Throttle Position Sensor in the TB and adjusts idle every start up. Nature of the drive by wire. Normally it is quick and smooth. Dirty or sticky TB throttle plates cause erratic movement during this adjustment (sinc if you will). Think of it like this, the PCM says open the TB plate a bit, but the plate is dirty/sticky so it takes more and more pressure to get it to move that tiny bit to the point where it actually frees up and then moves too far and then the PCM tries to correct that sudden movement resulting in an over-correction, then a re-correction........
