Default Roof rack fitting

Might seem a silly question but just bought oem style racks off ebay but how do you fit these things.
I've got the cross bars and then there is a bag with 2 keys and 8 black plastic washer type things.Sorry but thats the best way I can describe.
Any help would much appreciated.
Thanks

i just droped the rack into the rails on the roof and if i remember there is a bar to slide that locks them into place and then u put the end caps on and use the key to lock. it was simple and took 5 min

I did that but it's all real loose.
Thats why I thought those black circular washer type things had something to do with it.

not sure what the washer u are talking about. when u have them in the rails ucan move them where u want and then if u like it there is a black bar that u move to tighten it and then its in place.then the caps are there to put on so no one can steal them thats what the key lock is for. so unless u have a diffrent bar then me u schould be set, here is a pic of mine i hope it works

Thanks for taking the time.
Mine are exactly like yours but when I slide that handle around they are still loose...I mean real loose !
I have been putting the racks in from the front(engaging into the channel) and then sliding back and turn the lever..
Here's a pic of those 8 black washer type things I was trying to explain..
aarrrgghhhh

i dont recall those washers coming with mine. how loose are yours cause if try to jiggle them they might move left or right like half a inch which is nothing , u can try emailing the seller and asking if they no what the washers are for or if he has instructions that they forgot to include.

Lucky,

Do you recall how much the rack you got on ebay cost? The dealer cost is way too much for me.

Thanks,

Scott

Right, I got it..
I took the lever assembly apart and the spring that is on the shaft had worked it's way thru the hole towards the lever which was causing the problem.Hence, when you turned the lever to tighten down it didn't have enough travel to make it fix on solid...
Thanks for all your help lucky19942001...
What I have done isn't perfect but it's good enough..
Thanks
