Default Radiator trans cooler mixing fluids

Hello Forum Members,

I recently found a crack on top of the OEM radiator.
So I went to ebay and bought the the "best deal" radiator available for $99 shipped.
I did the replacement yesterday to find out the bottom oil fitting was leaking, so I tightened a bit and it still leaked. I figure the O-ring on the fittinbg was chewed up. So I loosened the fitting to inspect the o-ring and coolant(dex-cool)starts dripping (i dont even know how since its a new radiator but I guess you get what you pay for.

I contacted the seller and gave a negative review and hope he can either refund me or get me a replacement.

Nonetheless lesson learned, but I was wondering if anybody ever had this issue? Is there a connection from the AT cooler to the Rad?

The cooler and fittings are molded into the rad. The seals are part of the lines, You fvck'd that rad up! oh well get another one...

If you're at it, why not add an external trans cooler, independent from the Radiator. It will keep your trans temps much lower, cheap insurance from the cross contamination that some people get when the radiator fails and coolant gets passed to the oil part and into the transmission (very bad for the trans).
If your living in cold climate, get a bypass for it too!
