Just wondering, if anyone knows how to remove the overhead light fixture, the one button is defective, so i want to replace the unit, i don't believe the headliner needs to be removed, but i don't want to rip or damage the headliner..

Depends if you are talking about with the sunroof or without.


With the sunroof you just remove the 2 screws and slide the console forward (towards the windshield). There are 2 projections which hold the front in. For the non-sunroof I could not help you as I have a sunroof.


Here you can see the fingers which hold the front in.

Thanks for the reply, i am referring to the small light thats justbehindthe front seats on the roof...

the one push button is not working and i want to replace it..

Thanks for the info on the front light pod, i will be puling that to do some wiring for a backup cam...

 

I do have a sunroof also, forgot to mention that...

 

The lens on that should just pop right off. As far as removing the entire thing I am not sure. Take the lens off and see if it is held in by clips or another method. I doubt you'd have to pull the headliner to get it out.
