Default Overhead Module

Hi,

I have 2006 H2 with sunroof. It has the small overhead module between sunroof and windshield.

I want to add a couple of things near it that require 12V DC to work, like a GPS and backup camera.

How do I gain access to the inside of the module, It has a couple of hex screws near the windshield end of it. Do these come out and the unit drops down?

Second question, I would like these units to be pluggable into 12 volts. Any suggestions on what type of connector to use ie., cigarette lighter plugs, small 12V coaxial jackets, etc..

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

There are 2 screws that go straight up into the overhead console, they are fairly close to the windshield. Take them out and the console falls down. Look at the grab handles on the "A" post. thereare 2square plugs, prythem out with a screwdriver and the handles come off (no screws) then you can pull the "A" post covers off to run wires up to the overhead console. use caution when running the wires. The drain tubes for the sunroof are also in the "A" post, if they get crushed or pinched the sunroof won't drain properly and you will fill the head liner with water the next time it rains.

Yeah, Pretty simple for the overhead console.

Like DWP99 said, there are only 2 screws holding it up. Top of Pic!

Anyone know what bulbs are in those map lights? I want to get some LED bulbs. I just installed the PUTCO Led kit last night and it does not include those or the door panel lights.
