Courtesy light problem
Ok, I really could use some help here, I have a 2006 h2 and I was changing the rear seat courtesy dome light and forgot to shut the door(I know, stupid mistake!!) so it had power going to it and when I went to snap the new bulb in, it sparked and went out. Now all the courtesy lights are out except the front door lights. The map lights still turn on when you press the buttons.
I thought it would just be a fuse but I cant find one that is bad and the owners manual doesn't even show one for this. I went through the fuses one by one , no luck.
Any ideas??????

Technically it sounds like a blown fuse or a tripped circuit breaker.
Have you tried checking if the "non-functional" bulbs work with an outside power supply.
or
You could just take it to a car-shop... ofcourse minimum fee will be around $50.

Yes, I checked the bulbs they are working. There is no specific fuse for these lights listed in the owners manual so I pulled each fuse and checked them and they all look good.
I might have to take it to the shop.
Thanks
I tried disconnecting battery, that didn't work.
What do you mean by short leads?
Thanks For any ideas you have!!!!
I'm stumped right now
