Default New guy, looking at an H2 possibly

How's it going everyone, my names Brian, and I'm looking to get myself an H2 later this year.

Really digging the forum, seems like my type of car people. I currently have an Edge and the forum is pretty dull and boring, my girlfriend calls it a "dad's car." I like it but only bought it to have something safer than my Charger through this ridiculous Winter we had.

I'm looking to sell it/trade it in around Spring or Summer and was really looking at some diesel F250's but I would rarely use a truck for it's trucking purposes, plus I'm a car audio nut, I would hate to have no backseat because of subs.

I always take a stroll through car lots all the time and saw a nice H2 at a local lot, next to a lifted F250 which was why I originally pulled in.

I've dreamed about having a Hummer since I was young and saw an H1 on the road, but always assumed they were way more expensive than what they go for.

I personally don't care for the H3 or the truck versions, so I'm only looking for an H1.

Are there differences at all in the H2 through the years? (Trans, engine, interior etc) Any big issues they have?

Thanks in advance!

The 08 and 09's are probably the better one's, bigger engine bigger trans etc, The 03 through 07 are pretty much the same, minor differences. Of course their are some differences.

As elkgrunt says, '08+ have some mechanical differences. Quite a power jump from '07 to '08. They also have a much nicer and more refined interior, although a lot of people prefer the older interior's styling. Along with the new interior looks, they come with things like bluetooth and optional rear view cameras. On the downside, there is also a significant jump in purchase price. I bought my '06 about 2 months ago for ~$23k, local '08/'09s were easily $10k+ more.

There were other changes through the years. Here is a good starting guide: Hummer H2 model year changes and buying guide.
