Thinking about trading in my 2007 H3 (fully loaded, sunroof, leather, premium sound) that I bought for a newer model/different color. I have about 34k miles on it, its in good condition. I have a slight dent on the front bumper from a small accident in stop and go traffic but nothing serious. How much can I expect to get for it? And how much do you think it would be for a new model, maybe with slightly less options. I'd like to keep the sunroof, but thats about it. What do you guys think?

I think it's a waste of money to go from a 2007 to a 2009 unless you're going to get an alpha. There isn't a lot of changes between the model years. I think the 09 has bluetooth built in and a light above the dash, but aside from those, they are pretty much the same truck. The interior is the same, the exterior is the same and the engine is the same (unless you get the alpha).

This is all just my opinion. Personally, I wouldn't bother trading up (I have an 07 lux that's fully loaded like yours) unless you are getting into an alpha, especially since you said you are going to be losing some options that you currently have.

I know the dealer here in CT wanted to give me 19k on my base H3. I was looking to trade into the Alpha, but it just didn't work out.

a 2010 adventure lists for 42000+

what do you guys think it should go for

im thinking of a "backup" and investment for future, 10 yrs down road,,,

It depends if the dealer put any extras but 42000 is a huge inflation over the standard msrp. The mspr for that h3 is $36,740 you should be able to get that truck for 29-30k in my opinion unless the dealer put some really expensive add ons. Then you shouldn't settle for any more then 31500

oops, i found a pricing page and the options, sunroof,automatic,steps ,etc,took it up quick.

 

There are a couple of decent changes from 07 to 09 to consider. One is a cast iron front differential, locking front and rear diffs. with the adventure pkg. and at least 20 more HP> with the 5cyl.

 

There are a few '10 Alphas on eBay going for right around 40-45k, I would expect the adventures to be in the middle 30s, depending on options of course.
