6 months ago I bought an 07 H3. It had 123,000 miles. First power steering pump went out. After a reman pump that didn't work, a new aftermarket pump that didn't work, $800 parts and labor for a GM pump. Next 2 ignition coils, need new brake rotors, now a small hole in the exhaust (the canister part) and a leak at the manifold. I got a killer deal on it, it had been bumped up on front end, still a couple minor repairs to fix that. I need the plastic inside passenger side fender weld it was busted up. Think I may have bought a money pit.

I broke my passenger side inner fender on a late night Chipmunk Trail run with CB Photo years back, ain't no biggy cost or fix wise.

You bought what is now a 9 year old truck with over 120k, there are going to be components that wear out, stop working, and maintenance items to address.

Hi...thanks for the reply. Where do I go about getting the inner fender? It appears someone pushed the front bumper up a hair when they hit something. The small black inner grill has the tabs broken that holds it in place, so one side just sort of flops. when I got it the fog lamps were flopping and not sitting in the sockets right. Turns out, the front bumper is sitting flush against the grill with no spacing between which explains why the chrome grill was cracked above and below the passenger headlamp. The dealer I bought it from replaced the grill at no charge with a black grill, which he cracked in the same place putting it on. It snapped when he pushed on it to snap it in place because it didn't line up. Things on that side just doesn't line up like it should. Thinking of taking it to a body shop for an estimate on fixing all that. Also have a hole in the exhaust, in that canister looking thing..(sorry I'm a female, ride my own Harley but just don't know too much about cars..lol) I love my H3, maybe I will get to know it as well as my old Isuzu I gave up for it :-)

 

Definitely take it to a reputable body shop and if you do not like the first estimate, take it to another for a second opinion and then work them against each other.

I got my inner fender from on of my old High School pals that has a body shop, he ordered it from one of his suppliers.

If you ride a Harley, you are alright in my book! My current work in progress, 3-4 more things to do before spring pops and I'm set for the summer.



Now if I can only get to all my other projects?

Unfortunately spring has broke and I'm stuck out here in Detroit working for the foreseeable future and my bike is in NJ. I may have to pick up a "Spare". Time to look at Craigslist.

I found the inner liner on EBay for $98...the left front is the passenger side...right? Remember..I am a female...not blonde, but female ;-)

 

Oh wait....right front is passenger side...maybe I am a blonde...lol
