Default Installing hood handles on a glued down louvre

I had hood handles on my last H3 and loved them so I bought them for the one I bought a few months ago. Problem is, I'm pretty sure the louvres have been epoxied down when it was recalled for that a few years ago. Seeing in other threads how there doesn't seem to be a way to get the louvre off now, has anyone drilled from the top and through the hood itself and bolt the handles on from underneath? Thanks for any help or tips.

That's exactly what I did.

Thanks for the link Bunger! It looks like Hunner had them lined up towards the outside edge, is that what you did? The last time I had them centered on the flat part but if that causes me to be on an angled part underneath the hood, I'll move to the outside a little more.

Yeah, I moved them out slightly. It's not that much of an adjustment. You'll never notice that they're not centered.

I ended up centering them and didn't have any issue with the drilled holes being on a curved part of the underside of the hood. I had a little bit of an issue getting one of the bolts started with resulted in me getting a good amount of silicone on me and the handle trying to get it to line up. At least with your tips I'm confident that it won't rust or leak and best of all, it definitely won't come off. Thanks again Bunger!
