1st question if i buy a factory black one from an '08 H3 will it fit my '06 h3?


also why is it when i try to order anew one from GM it says the color is grey? are they painted or what ?

Yes it will fit... and really they are a charcoal color... look at the one in my profile, I have a black H3 and it stands out a little...

 

All they years are the same as far as the louver is concerned. I just had to order a new one its definitely a grayish color.

I took my louver off few months ago to do something and one of the clips at the top broke off and it leaves a little space where water and ice get in and pop it up so I used it as a tester to try painting completely black like the car body it actually comes out really well. When painting it outside though something flew onto a spot of the paint and messed it up. I used paint stripper to redo it and it never looked same again. Between the messed up spot from paint stripper and the broken clip I figured it was time to get a new one. It was $106.00 shipped if I remember right.

I painted the new louver today, Ill either take some shots of it tonight or tomorrow when its completely dry and ready to go on truck.
