[quote=soonerta;201374]I have had my Red 07 H3 for exactly two years and for some reason it still amazes me that people get so upset at the site of Hummers. quote]

I have had my black H3 for two and a half months and it got keyed last night in a parking lot. There is also a little dent about the size of a penny. I refuse to let this get to me as I believe that what goes around...
Anyway, I know I will need to take the vehicle to a shop to have the dent dealt with, but is there some kind of rubbing compound I can use for the scratches since they are not very deep?

Thanks
Michal

I suggest a polishing compound. Rubbing compound is to rough.

Keying an H3? Why? It's no bigger than half the other rigs around here. People are retarded.

Maybe you just pissed someone off in a way totally unrelated to the H

I don't know the reason. I didn't take up two parking spaces or mess with anyone, so I can only assume it someone who didn't like Hummers. I live in a rural area and every second person drives a big pick up here, and I also see quite a few gorgeous H2s, but I was in Dallas when this happened. I had the scratches removed and wont let it bother me. BTW, one of my ex in-laws drives some kind hybrid and now she doesn't speak to me when she found out I bought a H3. Don't these people have lives? Not that I am give a flying one.

Its stupid to key an H3 or damage it in anyway. If someone messes up the paint on my H3 ill just get it repainted. That will destroy the eviorment even more so whats the point?

Hi Daddy Jamma

I ordered three silver hybrid stickers to stick under my H3(and the match the colour of the "H") after the keying episode. (Someone at a gas statyion said to me that they didn't know Hummer's made hybrids. I said neithere did Hummer know.) I dont think most "enviromentalists" really enderstand what is going on in the enviroment and as someone mentioned before, it is probably jealously motivating keying a Hummer. My scratches weren't bad and easy to remove. BTW, the in law who still ignores me TOTALLY (talk about childish) after the family gathering when I pulled p in my Hummer and parked next to her hybrid something or other, well she also drives this huge RV which has to use a ton a gas. It just all seems so hypocritical to me. I am a foregner and I thought America was the home of the free. I specifically wanted an American made vehicle, and it is a travesty that I should be made to be slightly nervous everytime I got into a big city because some freak doesn't have a life and will harrass Hummers.

Each of us bought our hummers for diffferent reasons, I bought mine because I wanted it not because some idiot told me that they were bad for the enviroment. I have been called a few things that I won't repeat, (with my kids in the car) but at the same time alot of good comments have been said. The general public just doesn't take the time to look beyond the end of their noses and do any research before they have a comment to make. I drive an 08 h3, and I would have to say it is one of the best if not the best vehicles I have owned, and I have owned a few including a svt lightning and my 79 T/A with a 400/4spd that I know gets about 9 miles a gallon. the people who say your ruining the enviroment with that hummer will look at my t/a and give me a thumbs up and say nice car..................kinda makes you wonder...........

I had never seen a Hummer before coming to America and it was love at first sight. I really don't care what the few, who don't like Hummers, think. I love it, I feel safe in it, and I have a right to whatever vehicle I can afford.
