Yes I got my recall today. Says they will fix the problem at no charge when the parts become available. I just hope they pay all of us back who have already replaced it!

anybody know what could be wrong with my 2006 h3? the transmission will sometimes not shift into 4rth until the car is shut of and restarted. It will also get stuck in a gear while hitting bumps on the backroads for instances like 3rd gear and wont shift until restart the vehicle. Car has 151k miles and tranny fluid was changed at 120k

Just got my recall notice today. Hey it only took nine years. Exactly when are they gonna get the unavailable parts? After it goes to the junkyard?

My letter say 2007, it is tailored to the vehicle registered to the recipient of the letter.

Just looked at the wording again, only going to replace the female connector and harness?? What about the male connector half? Mine had melted into a big plastic ball that had to be cut apart with pliers.

As I said earlier, Chevy doesn't want to redesign the resistor pack (that includes the male connector). So they're likely designing a new female connector/harness that locks onto the resistor better. I'm sure that when they start actually replacing that harness on owner's H3s, they will also replace that resistor pack IF it shows evidence of overheating, otherwise not. That would make the most sense, and be the most cost effective.
