I'm a Toyota fan from way back; put nearly 400,000 miles on a 4wd Toyota van, still driving a Tercel with 330,000. But, I love my H3.

BTW H3Ray, how many Toyotas were recalled for sticking gas pedals?

So do us all a favor. Sell the H3 you hate so much and go darken someone else's forum.

I called today. I was told they would get the information from the state's data base. I told them I was a new owner (just over a week now). They said even if I don't receive the recall info to just take it to the dealership and it will be in the system by VIN. Not sure I believe them but I'll wait to see when they actually start fixing them.

Has anyone that sake already replaced it once on their own talked to the dealer yet about getting a reimbursement? I replaced mine a couple of years ago, but I'm betting I do not have the receipt any longer, so I'll probably be screwed.

Funny enough the wife's Dodge Nitro R/T has a similar issue currently. The blower on it doesn't work on the highest setting, I know it's either the same type of resistor or the switch itself being partially melted inside the switch causing the connection to not happen as I had in a late 90's mercury.

So anyone complaining about Hummer, be advised this is a common occurrence among all manufacturers.

I think the Jeep SRT is the closest type SUV to our beloved H3, but better, safer, way more power and better comfort.

Check it out !!!! ( Link Below ).

The dealers haven't been informed of the exact fix yet. Gm is still working on it. They will not be able to do anything yet.

The recall announcement is just that - an announcement of a pending recall to fix the problem. It could be MONTHS before they start the actual recall.

When the time comes just let them replace it again. It will be an improved design and better than what you have now.

What Bunger said X10!

This thread looks like a bunch of girl scouts excited an announcement for a brand new cookie, speculating when they can get it.

Relax, it's gonna be a while.
