I held off on the handles until I saw that recall on the louver. They originally were supposed to just be thru bolted to the louver only. I decided I might as well get them while they were available instead of just bolts as I too did not want the glue fix.
Depending on what handles you bought, if they are the billet style you can remove the studs and thru drill the hood and louver and use bolts from the underside. Carefull placement will get the one that falls on the edge of a formed area under there to be up on it.
