I've had this 08 Alpha for about 6 months so I don't have all the history but in now has 55K on the clock and I've done a good 10K of that. I don't love the mileage but I do love this H3. It would be really sweet with a really good diesel engine.
I've owned an H1 and a couple H2s and I used to think the H3 must be rinky-dink but I really like it. Glad I got the Alpha.
Drtom- good to know, but I'm not 100% sure if mine is alright. It stays most of the time midway between 1/4 mark and 1/2 with the outside temp never dropping below 76 (and that's now during the rainy season). I live in Puerto Rico, usual temp is 82+.
92000 here 2008 H3 bought the truck 3 yrs ago with 30,000 in it, haven't had any problem since. Thank God!
Since I bought just change oil every 5 and did the flushing of front and rear
axle, transfer case, transmission, brake oil at 50,000,throttle body clean as well.
Plan to do the same thing at 100,000
That's it!
I recently turned over 200,000 miles on my 2006 H3 Hummer. I'm the original owner. I replaced the radiator and transfer case about 10K miles back. Otherwise, this has been a GEM of an off-road machine. It does see a lot of highway miles as well, but can't say enough good things about my H3. I've added a cold air ram intake and magnaflow dual cat back system for great sound and performance. I'm dedicated to oil changes at 4-5K, which I think is the secret to long engine life.
