HI Beam Problem
I added LED lights to the truck a few years back. I used the ones that are now very hard to find but are so recommended by others on this site. Recently, when I turn on my high beams and then turn them off, my left headlight goes completely out. If I turn off the head lights and turn them back on again, both lights start working again. Anyone have this kind of problem? Sorry in advance, been out of country for awhile and have not been keeping up with the site.

They are the ones that you, Miami and I talked about a year or so ago (LED's). DOT, etc. I can't quite remember the entire discussion or the manufacturer. I just seem to remember there were some things to look for on the box to know you had the right set. They worked perfectly at first. The right front light was replaced with an identical light due to being shot out with a BB gun, and it worked fine for about 6 months. Then this problem occurred. I am thinking about just buying an entire new set but thought there might be simple solution that someone had come across. I don't mind the expense so much as the mounting into the bracket and lamp assembly. I had to do a lot of modification to get these to fit right (my fault for not cutting correctly).
Was it the Tuff Plus ones that I had talked about? You did reply in that thread several times so I think that might be the ones you bought. https://www.hummerforums.com/forum/h...ighting-38445/
I know if you bought them from Superbrightleds they would have a pretty nice warranty with them. Other places - hard to tell and would just depend on where you bought them. If it is them - this would be the first I've heard of one failing. I still have 2 sets (my H2 and wifes Wrangler) that are used daily and I know of a number of others with them that all work perfect.
I also posted a link to documents and whatnot on them as well as some photos I took of one I opened up specifically to look at the quality of the board. If you are good with electronics you might be able to open the back on the one and spot and issue that could be fixed with a soldering iron and a little bit of time.
