im on my 2nd hummer, 4 years, and never turned the lights on so I cant figure that, so if you must actually turn them on with the switch, something has been modified.
have you had the h3 for a few years and made no wiring changes and this suddenly happened, or did you just buy it?
has it been worked on recently?
if so, try to backtrack to b4 the work was done.
I never heard of fuses doing this, but,,,

This year I change the harness for the blower fan, that was about three months ago. I had my hummer for about 4 years, not sure what the hell is going on. When outside are on the interior goes out along with the radio. Turn lights off interior lights work.

My H3 2006 Hummer has an intermittent problem. Usually I drive my truck with the headlights set at Auto and I have my fog lights below on. Sometimes, I start my truck and the lights work, but the console lights are partially off (meaning the radio appears illuminated, but all other lights out). When I go to use my blinkers, they don't work. Also the high beam light doesn't seem to work. If I move the light switch to manual - still the same situation. However, when I pull the high beam switch back towards me, the high beams come on, my blinkers work and the console lights up. Currently it appears stuck in this situation, not intermittent anymore. So to drive at night, I have to have the lights in Auto and if I want to change lanes or turn, I have to pull back on the high beam switch to get everything (including the blinkers) to work. People must think I'm flashing at them. Now, lately I've notice my air/heat is not turning on either. What is this problem? I know a parts store owner (older guy) check all my fuses and they were all working fine. Does anyone know what this is?

Oh and I should add, when I'm driving during the day, with the lights set at Auto (so not on since it's daylight), the blinkers work.

I'm wondering if this is in the stalk on the column? Or possibly in the BCM?

Check out the battery terminal connectors too. They look cheesy and I'm going to replace mine before winter. As tight as it could be, the connection was still looser than I like to see and it had also started to corrode...

Also, it probably wouldn't hurt to reset connectors to the BCM as there could be corrosion in there causing things to go screwy. We had a G6 do that with the brake lights.
