I tried to add it to my shopping list but that doesn't seem to work. Called my dealer and they said it still is not available to purchase. Strange.

you'll have a tough time getting it in there imo. they sell better stuff than that and cheaper. i would get a drawtite type platform before i tried to load into it lol good luck

 

Was anyone ever able to buy one of the Hummer motorcycle chocks, or was that particular item just advertising hyperbole from corporate?

I'd like to find one if they ever existed.

 

Yep, they are selling them now. It's part number 19166990. I got mine on the net from CrateEngineDepot. $109.65 + $24.95 shipping. I'm sure it can be had cheaper, but I took a chance. I got mine about a year ago. Cool stuff...



Mounted it in the side rail so you can see how it clamps:


Even included the allen wrench:


You turn it sideways and insert it into the channel. Straighten it and tighten the allen bolt. The square washer from behind clamps it to the channel.






It works really well and mounting is easy. I always remove it when I not hauling the bike. I'll probably pick up another one this year so that I can haul two bikes.

I'd tried two other online GM places and they both said the chock was discontinued and no longer available. Hoping that's not the case with gmpartsdirect.....

Glad I could help. If you have trouble finding one in stock, there are some on eBay. They cost a little more, but they are available.
