Yep, the Efan is a great no brainer mod. Solid over 1MPG improvement across the board. RPMs wind up much quicker from 1000 to 3000, and with temps under 50F the Efan will only run if stopped for 7-10 minutes (like traffic or the drive through) after the truck is at normal full operating temperature.

The fan, clutch not engaged, weighs 6Lbs.+, that load reduction alone for the I5 is good for 5-10HP.

When it does run, the Efan can pull temp down from 208F to 188F in under 1.5 minutes. I have an 07 so the fan is controlled by a sensor, the 2008 & ups can be controlled through your PCM with a tuning patch. If you're gonna send in the PCM for the patch, might as well look at getting a full tune for your PCM and TCM. .

You don't need BCM or PCM changes. Your PCM must be pretty fast to control the alternator output voltage in nanoseconds!
Hey FU(K Nut, If you can read english I said "The BCM receives it's information from the PCM/ECM (once again depending on the year) and processes that information in nano-seconds to either boost the generator output or lower it." Where did I say anything about controling the alternator output voltage in nanoseconds? NO WHERE!

Oh yeah, just because someone makes an accessory dosen't mean it actually does what they advertise! Your pully people are like the "throttle body spacer" guys. They don't do anything but empty your wallet!

So, your Body Control Module receives system voltage from your PCM/ECM? Then, your BCM makes a decision in nano-seconds and then controls your generator voltage?

My PCM controls my generator/alternator voltage along with the voltage regulator. My BCM can command the IPC to turn on the charging fault indicator. Yours may be different.

Well CHP, your are correct!

There are 2 different PCM/TCM/BCM systems in the H3s. 06-07 have one and the 08-10 have a different one. So depending on What year HUMMER H3 you have. you say you have an 06 so your PCM/TCM/BCM system IS different than our 08 and 09.
