H3 PCM Programmer Question
H3 PCM Programmer Question
I've been curious about anyone who has used a PCM tuner on their H3's and if it helped at all?
I installed one on my Silverado (35" tires) a few weeks ago. (I drive about 200 miles oneway for drill every month.) Before the tune I got anywhere from 11.5 mpg to 13 mpg. Usually right at 12.5 mpg's I was thrilled the one time I got 13 mpg's
When I got the 11.5 mpg I replaced the plugs which had 100K+ on them. That got me back to the usual 12.5 mpg. (city or highway doesn't usually effect it much. )
I used a Hypertech tuner about 3 weeks ago. Drove it to drill over this past weekend and and I averaged 15 mpg on my way up there and 14.5 on my way back. In the past 4-5 days of city diving it has moved up and down from 14.4 to 14.6 mpg.
I would like to add on to my 2010 H3. (33" tires) Has anyone used Hypertech or any other programmer on their H3 and if so, how did it work for them? Pros and Cons.
From looking at the Hypertech web page it should help the Hummer H3 more than it did my Silverado.
