H3 2006 Used BCM replacement Frozen Odometer
Hello everyone!
I just replaced a defective BCM to get some keyfobs working with a used one and the odometer/trip counter are both frozen. Is there anyway to get the proper mileage spinning again?
Here's what I've been told so far...
1.) The mileage MAY start up again once it hits the mileage of the BCM. (LONG wait)
2.) Perhaps a GM dealer has a fix? (Cringes)
3.) Perhaps the instrument cluster needs to be rebuilt? (does not sound affordable)
Anyone have a suggestion or simple workaround not listen I am overlooking? Any help is most appreciated. Thank you so much!

Put the old BCM back in, throw away the factory keyfobs, have an aftermarket alarm/remote start installed, and sell the replacement BCM.
Otherwise, go to a GM dealer and have the replacement BCM programmed to the vehicle along with the fobs.
